MN Wedding Planner, Rustic Decor, Rental Items
Rustic Elegance specializes in barn, tent and outdoor wedding planning as well as Rustic Rentals. We have a lot of fun collecting new items and love seeing how brides have put them to use! Here are a few of our fav items that we carry. (Pricing info for all our items can be seen from a desktop view on our website… www.rusticeleganceweddings.com)
Vintage Plates! We love love these… we are adding to our collection every day-we bought the bulk of them from Carver Junk Company. We currently have about 350 dinner and dessert mismatched plates. We are seeing more and more weddings that create a unique, classic look but using vintage plates. We love these paired with a charger plate underneath.

Farm Tables! Our farm tables were hand crafted by a family member. We currently carry 7-8 foot tables, 2-3 foot tables and 6 benches. These look great mixed in with round tables, and with a mixture of benches and chairs. We love the farm chairs that Ultimate Events has. These also go great with a mahogany folding or chiavari chair. The 3 foot tables are great for the the guest book, card table, place cards, beverage station… etc We are also obsessed with the edison lights we carry that are also shown in the photo.
Our white vintage sofa is one of our items we are most passionate about! We picked this beauty up from Duluth-we were in Duluth at the time we found her and had to drive home to get the truck and then back up! She was worth the drive! 🙂 The sofa is great for photo opps, guest lounge area or for the bride and groom dinner seating at head table.
Our white buffet hutch couldn’t be any more perfect! This hutch is so versatile! It makes a great dessert buffet as shown. All the dessert platters and suitcase shown are also in our rental inventory.

Our wine barrels have been super popular. We have 2 of them and have been looking for a few more. These barrels came from Woodland Hill Winery in Delano, MN. Paired with our door, these can be used for a dessert buffet or gift table. Standing alone, these make great cocktail tables or entrance decor.
Our rustic bar was built by a father of a bride… once the wedding was over we obtained the bar and added the barn wood to the front and made a few changes. We LOV this bar and wish we had it in our basement. lol. It is on wheels for easy movement, and comes with shelving and a beer bottle opener on the back. Perfect for a backyard or barn wedding.
The Ceremony doors in the photo are brand new to our collection! The doors came from friends moms old farm house. They were originally red and blue! These are perfect for an entrance to an outdoor ceremony. Or the doors can be held open and used for a backdrop to the ceremony. There is a hook inside the structure that can hang a chandelier. We can’t wait to see these in action!

We pretty much lov this love sign. lol.. we got this awesome sign from a bride! It plugs in and lights up and can set on a table or hang! There are so many places this sign could we be used. We are considering making a couple more like it.. that maybe read “bar”, “sweets”, “Mr. & Mrs”…
Chandelier’s can add so much elegance to any setting! We have a couple in our inventory.. these two are our fav’s!

Volunteering fun with Wedding Professionals
Rustic Elegance belongs to this really great group of wedding vendors called Twin Cities Wedding Professionals! Within this group, we wanted to give back, so each month Rustic Elegance plans a volunteer event at various organizations around the city. We have had so much fun getting to know each other and have helped so many different organizations! We wanted to do a shout out to all the vendors that have been involved (see below)! Such a great group of people! We also wanted to share a bit about the organizations we have been helping.
We were excited to participate in helping The Sandwich Project by buying supplies and making 300 sandwiches to be delivered to people in need!
A bit about The Sandwich Project:
The Sandwich Project was established with the other days in mind. Their starting goal was to help feed 150 homeless people in Minneapolis as many times a year as possible, with the ultimate goal of doing it everyday of the year. Today, they are helping to feed about 4,500 people per week through various shelters and food shelves!
We have helped put together meal packs Feed My Starving Children, a couple of times. This is always a lot of fun and a good group activity.
A bit about Feed My Starving Children: is a non-profit organization committed to feeding hungry children. The approach is simple: hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and then ship these meals to nearly 70 countries around the world. .22 cents is the price of one meal.

Prism needed our help to set up their Holiday Shop by arranging tables and chairs, decorating, sorting toys, placing toys in the shopping area…etc. We found out how OCD we all are when we decided all the games had to be organized by age…
A bit about Prism: Prism (People Responding In Social Ministry)-is a social service agency that helps local families during times of financial hardship. PRISM is one of the largest holiday toy programs in the state.
We had a fun evening out helping Erick’s Ranch by taking a tour, lead by Mariah (who has autism), of the St. Paul Cathedral and stopping at O’Gara’s Pub for dinner, while learning about the Irish migration to St. Paul in the late 1800’s and the role of the Catholic church. By us taking this tour it provides Mariah with a job and also raises money for Erik’s Ranch.
A bit about Eriks Ranch: They are an innovative program for young adults with autism that provides an opportunity for them to use their unique talents and expertise.
We spent an afternoon helping Bridging unload mattress in their warehouse… we had to pile up the “good” ones and “bad” ones, I have never seen so many mattress and there were some bad ones.. a couple hours of mattress moving makes the arms pretty sore!
A bit about Bridging: Through the effective reuse of donated items, Bridging improves lives by providing quality furniture and household goods to those transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Bridging serves over 80 households, over 240 people, each week who are given a sense of dignity as they rebuild their lives.
We had a great time helping Arc where we helped sort, organize and get items ready for sale-we helped make the sales floor look pretty and set up end caps of items for sale. We are a great group to help with organizing things 🙂 We also enjoyed a little shopping of our own 🙂
A bit about Arc: The Arc is a nonprofit organization. And as Arc’s Value Village grows, so does our community impact. Every year, our stores provide over a million dollars for The Arc Greater Twin Cities’ programs that help adults and children with disabilities and our community.

Next month we are all set to help Emma Norton Services, by helping get their dorm-style units “turned over” and ready for new families by cleaning and painting.
A bit about Emma Norton Services:
Emma Norton has two sites – a dorm-style complex that houses 50 women in downtown St. Paul, and a set of 13 townhomes that house 13 families in Maplewood. They provide supportive housing for women and families who are homeless and dealing with mental illness and/or chemical dependency.
Thank you to all the vendors who have given participated in these events and given their time to help these orientations! I am excited for many more opportunities to give back with this group!

(Barrels, door and cake stands can be rented from Rustic Elegance )
Desserts could possibly be our favorite part of the wedding day!! With all the new fun options out there, it makes dessert time even more exciting! The options are endless…pies, cupcakes, smores bar, truffles, cheese cakes, torts, macaroons, candy bars, ice cream sunday buffet, donuts, chocolates, sweet things in min cups, misc tasty treats on sticks… all such great ideas and a fun way to customize your wedding.
** Rustic Elegance planning tip: If you are ordering a variety of desserts, make sure you order enough-just in case guests end up grabbing more then one. Here are a few of our favorite dessert vendors:
Nadia Cakes was featured on season one and two of TLC’s show Fabulous Cakes. They have a wide range of of fun cupcake flavors and options, including Cookies & Cream, Lemon Drop, Peanut Butter Cup, Salted Carmel.. but my fav is the Vanilla Vanilla.. LOVE the frosting!! (my mouth is watering writing this)!!
Sara’s Tipsy Pies is also a unique option vrs a traditional wedding cake. Sara has partnered with local wine, whiskey and beer vendors such as: 2 Gingers, Liftbridge, Saint Croix Vineyards, Finnegans, Third Street Brewhouse, Winehaven…etc to add a little twist to her: mini tipsy pies, pie pals, hand pies, cookies, cupcakes and cheesecakes. I love the pecan hand pie and also the french silk mini dessert. Yummy!!! Ya can’t go wrong with pies at a rustic wedding!
Campfire Desserts offers a traveling S’more’s Bar which includes 9 different flavored artisan marshmallows, a variety of different graham crackers, chocolates, and candy bars! They also bring along a Roast Counselor to give suggestions on how to make the perfect S’more!!! I must say I’m a sucker for a S’more using Reese’s Pieces!!
Ganache Desserts and Confections offers a wide selection of dessert options, including: wedding cakes, cupcakes, truffles, international desserts and confections! Chef Kevin Lindee is outstanding! He creates “distinctive flavor profiles and contemporary combinations while infusing modern techniques in every tantalizing treat”. We highly recommend him!
Another fun idea is to have an ice cream bar!! This Little Piggy Catering can help provide this! (ooo add a chocolate chip cookie on the side)!!! Their ice cream bar includes: Delicious Bridgeman’s Ice Cream, peanuts, strawberries, cherries, M&M’S, Reeces, Oreos, sprinkles, warm hot fudge, and warm caramel. They also offer a 1919 keg of Root Beer for floats as well.
This Little Piggy Catering also offers a crepe Station, featuring a Nuetella, Caramel, Banana, Cinnamon twist, Lemon Supreme, Strawberry, Banana Strawberry Supreme, and Chocolate. This is a great alternative for a fun dessert. It also allows your guest to order just what they like!
I haven’t seen it yet, but I think cotton candy would be a fun idea…ooo or caramel apples..?? Below are some fun ideas from real weddings!
