Julia + Josh were the sweetest couple to plan with! It was apparent from day one of meeting Julia that these two were meant to be together and that their wedding day was going to be so filled with love. They had planned their wedding to be at Redeemed Farm, one of our fav places! We love it here because of all the fun places for guests to gather throughout the farm (and they’ve even added more since this wedding last year!!) and the owners Jeff & Julie are the sweetest people!
The morning was spent getting ready at the farm. The ladies prepped in the bridal suite with Makeup by Nicole, and the gentleman gathered in the groom’s room. They had a small wedding party, only the maid of honor & best man, which made the getting ready easy & quick! Lead planner Kellie and assistant Kayla arrived at the farm to find a calm (& excited) bride to be. The RE team started prepping the decor throughout the space. Under the machine shed, we placed the gifts & cards setup, fun activities for guests (wedding mad libs!) and bag boards right outside for guests to enjoy as they arrived at the farm.
Finally, it was time for these two to tie the knot! They glided elegantly together down the aisle to say their “I do’s” on the upper level of the main barn. Behind them was a stunning arch draped with fabric and beautiful florals from E.L. Designs.
After they made it official, guests were off to enjoy a cocktail hour in the machine shed, followed by dinner in the lower level of the barn. This Little Piggy made an AMAZING dinner and we finished off the evening with a sweet treat from Nothing Bundt Cakes! After an evening of amazing dancing & good company, This Little Piggy brought out the late night snack – a PRETZEL station! It was almost too beautiful to eat, but once guests started digging in, it was a hit.
Julia + Josh – we loved reminiscing on your wedding day and hope that your first year of marriage was bliss (besides the whole pandemic!!). Cheers to your next chapter & many happy years ahead! Thank you to Lauren Baker Photography for capturing this beautiful day!
It was so much fun helping Lauren + Justin plan their special day! It was extra special to work with them since Lauren + Justin went to college with Kayla, one of Rustic Elegance’s team member’s, and got married in their cute little college town at a new venue, The Capitol Room. Kellie did a tour of the space and L O V E D it’s modern rustic vibe. Lauren was an amazing DIY bride and M A D E her flower centerpieces.. Out of coffee filters!! Lead planner Kellie loved meeting with the couple leading up to the big day. Once it was finally here, the morning started with the ladies prepping in the bridal suite on the second level of the venue, while the guys went out to a breakfast spot down the street. A little later, they joined at The Capitol Room in the groom’s room to get in their suits for the big day. Once everyone was ready, Justin + Lauren did their first look photos. Annie Galloway captured this P E R F E C T L Y – the couple is so fun and loving and so were all the photos! The bridal party then joined in for some fun group photos before family photos. One of our favorite parts was that Lauren’s Grandma was actually one of her bridesmaids, and was the S W E E T E S T woman.
After pictures with family + friends, it was time for the wedding party to “hide” as guests arrived. The main level of The Capitol Room acts as the ceremony spot and then is flipped/transformed into a beautiful dining space. In the back of the main room, there is a staircase leading to a cute little cocktail hour room, equipped with it’s own bar & space for snacks! After the couple said their I Do’s, guests headed down into the cocktail room and The Capitol Room staff, catering staff, and Rustic Elegance team worked to flip the room. We set up Lauren’s homemade centerpieces: cute little flower boxes made out of coffee filters and colored to look like real flowers – so A M A Z I N G! After a blink of an eye, the room flip was done and it was time to bring guests back in for dinner.
Guests were A M A Z E D as to how the room transformed into such a gorgeous dinner room. For the grand entrance, the couple surprised guests up on the balcony that overlooked the dinner space! Dinner provided by Chef Craig’s Catering was D E V I N E, as was the dessert spread. The couple opted for a simple and sweet dessert table with T O N S of options (including cannolis!!). After dinner + speeches, a few tables in the front were cleared for dancing the night away. Instant Request DJ pumped up the jams and kept the dance floor full all night long!
Lauren + Justin – we hope that your life as newlyweds is amazing & everything you dreamed it would be. We enjoyed being your day of coordinator! And thank you to Annie Galloway Photography for sharing these wonderful images of their day with us!
Megan + Colton were so much fun to work with. Throughout the planning process, lead planner Kellie loved meeting with Megan and her mom to come up with the master plan. The morning of June 15 came about, and the weather was a little tricky. It started without rain in the forecast, but Kellie kept radar watch while the couple enjoyed themselves getting ready in the bridal suite at Almquist. The combination bridal suite has a level downstairs for the gentleman, and the upstairs level is all for the ladies! Lindsey White Photography was there to capture the day, and took some A M A Z I N G photos! The couple did their first look with a few little drizzles, but were covered by cute, clear umbrellas [+ the first look was S O sweet!].
While the couple + their bridal party were prepping for the day, Kellie + Kayla set up the beautiful main barn for the reception. Simple greens paired with small vases with white flowers, and clear votives dressed up the already S T U N N I N G farm tables that Almquist provides. The couple also rented Rustic Elegance dessert stands to decorate their dessert table of mini-cupcakes [so Y U M M Y]!
The rain was intermittent throughout the afternoon, allowing for photos under the main barn’s overhang and out in the lawn. Luckily, the rain cleared up just in the knick of time for their outdoor ceremony. The wedding party glided down the beautiful aisle/trail before the bride and her dad took their walk. After a gorgeous ceremony under the trees overlooking the valley, guests migrated to the main barn for cocktail hour and dinner. This Little Piggy provided a C L A S S I C meal that all guests loved. The cute mini-cupcakes were also a hit for all of the guests – the perfect bite sized T R E A T!
After dinner + desserts, it was time for speeches + dancing. Megan’s dad captured a fun video during his speech – he ran around the entire room with his phone and people cheered for the newlyweds! Such a fun memory that these two will have F O R E V E R! Then it was time to get the party started on the dance floor. Lindsey White Photography also snapped a full group photo on the dance floor of A L L wedding guest attendees – so C U T E!
Megan + Colton – we hope that married life is A M A Z I N G like you two are, and that you have many happy years ahead.
We had so much fun working with Callan and her mom to plan a gorgeous October wedding for Callan and Michael at The Round Barn. These two met on a blind date and shared their story with us so we HAD to share! Two of their mutual friends were celebrating birthdays and wanted to go for a motorcycle ride to celebrate. Callan of course, was in for the ride but didn’t know how to drive one. That’s where Mike comes in! Callan’s friend assured her that she would have someone to ride with. At the birthday party, they both said they had an instant connection with one another. After the birthday party, Callan thought for sure that Michael would ask for her number, but in true fashion, he just gave her a goodbye wave! She was persistent and ended up finding his Snapchat and talking to him there until he gave her his number.
If the story about how they met didn’t make your heart melt, the proposal story sure will! Callan had always dreamed about a Jeep Wrangler and owning one sometime in her life. She had been saving for one for a while when she met Michael. He kept encouraging her to save for it, until one day he told her that it would be a “money pit”. Discouraged, she decided to let that dream go, as she trusted his judgement. Fast forward to their three year anniversary. Michael had kept the whole night surprise from Callan & she was S U P E R excited! Although others questioned if the proposal was going to happen that evening, Michael threw Callan off by overly mentioning that was not the case, just a nice celebration for their anniversary and to wear a “nice dress” for their dinner. They headed off to the St. Paul Pool & Yacht Club for dinner. They had great service, amazing food and the B E S T seat in the house. While they were there, they talked about their future, marriage & getting engaged as if it were in the distant future… when really it was going to start that evening. After dinner, they headed down to the valet to get their car to head home. At the valet parking, there was Callan’s D R E A M Jeep Wrangler – two door pure white with custom tires and extras. Callan mentioned to Michael how beautiful the car was and his response was “It’s yours, I built it for you”. The parking attendant then jumped out of the car and handed Callan a box. She opened it and there was a little wooden frame that said “Will you marry me?” and that’s when Michael dropped on one knee and popped the question!
After that grand proposal, the couple was super excited for their future together and started planning their wedding. They used our Elegance package for their planning which includes our entire decor inventory! Lead planner Kellie loved helping the couple come up with different ways to use the decor at The Round Barn, and soon enough, the big day was here!
Nate & Chad (our handy Rustic Elegance delivery team) brought the furniture to Round Barn and helped Kellie & Kelly place it throughout the barn. We created cozy lounge areas in the top of the barn, featuring our furniture – couches, coffee tables, sitting chairs, lamps etc. We also used our wine barrels with tops along with our bar in the lower part of the barn. This created a great space for guests to mingle and grab a drink on the way up to the dance floor. We also used our display hutch at the ceremony site to display champagne/sparkling water for guests to take prior to the ceremony, and then we re-used the hutch as one of the [three!!] dessert displays later on in the evening. The RE team also hung our string lights across the center hole in the barn for some added ambience, as well as on a pallet wall behind the bride and groom for the reception. Our RE chalk artist Kierra designed a large, custom chalk timeline for the couple that made a great accent piece for the reception space.
The guys + gals prepped in their respective suites on the morning of the wedding before the ceremony. The wedding party consisted of 4 attendants per side, and included the C U T E S T flower girl/flower dog combo [Khloe + Tuka]. Tuka was the couple’s dog and was so well behaved. She stole our hearts a bit. They glided down the aisle to say their I do’s, to the song Cannon in D, which was played by a trio. After the gorgeous ceremony, the trio moved to the pavilion and continued to play for the cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed an appetizer buffet from This Little Piggy before sitting down for dinner.
This Little Piggy provided an awesome dinner buffet in the pavilion before speeches & dances. The couple had the most A M A Z I N G dessert station spread throughout the barn: one on the hutch, one on the wine barrel/door, and a smaller display of mini desserts on a sofa table upstairs. Cossetta’s brought the desserts and there were T O N S of options to choose from. Guests loved the variety [+ so did we!]. Cossetta’s also provided the guests favors of chocolate goodie bags. After dinner + desserts, the couple danced their first dance to “You Make It Easy” by Jason Aldean – it was such a special moment between these two love birds! After the first dance guests joined in the dancing to get the party started. The reception setup was G O R G E O U S and guests seemed to love the cozy seating arrangements with RE furniture to gather around. Guests also enjoyed the bonfire outside the barn – it was a chilly night and P E R F E C T fire weather. For the late night snack, the RE team placed out a cute popcorn bar to round out the night. After everyone said their goodbyes, the couple and some of the wedding party stayed overnight at the B&B.
Callan + Michael, we L O V E D being a part of your love story, and hope that married life is treating you well. We hope that you are driving right into this new chapter of your life, Jeep Wrangler and all!
Jenna + Michael were so A M A Z I N G to work with as we planned their backyard wedding. The couple opted to get married in a church and enjoyed an open air reception in the bride’s parent’s backyard. The backup plan was to use their shed, and we were worried that with all the rain during the week leading up that we would have to use the the backup plan instead of the beautiful yard. Thankfully, Mother Nature blessed the couple with the rain stopping, yard drying up, and a bright + sunny wedding day! The night before the wedding, lead planner Kellie stayed in the town of New Ulm for the evening and enjoyed dinner at a super cute little place in downtown.
The Rustic Elegance team of Kellie + Andrea arrived the morning of the big day to help set up the tables/chairs outside in the lawn with the groomsmen. After those big items were set out, we began the detail work – setting out the rest of their decor. The couple had a Jenga set as their guest book, which guests were to sign a piece [what a F U N keepsake!!]. The couple also gathered photos of their family to make a family tree display which we loved. On the back of the tree were photos of the couple over the years – so fun to see each stage together. Their seating chart was made of an old window, such a C U T E idea. For the head table, G&K Event Rentals provided beautiful wood harvest tables. After all of the decor was set up, Kellie headed to the church while Andrea held down the fort and greeted the vendors as they arrived.
The ceremony at the church was short & sweet, then guests headed to the backyard for cocktail hour and dinner. The guests used mason jars as their drinking glasses and then were able to take them home [fun idea + saves on garbage]. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed yard games that included Hammerschlaggan. Next, it was time for a yummy buffet style dinner provided by Gutes Essen Catering and Deli. After dinner, the dancing started with the couple’s first dance to “You Make It Easy” by Jason Aldean. The dancing took place outside under the large trees in the yard.. It was one of the most romantic settings ever! The string lights hung from tree to tree enhanced the romance even more. DJ Matt from Showtime Productions kept the party going all night long under the stars!
Jenna + Michael – it was so much fun helping plan your P E R F E C T wedding day! We loved being a part of the first day of your new chapter as husband + wife, and wish you all the best in the rest of your chapters ahead. Shout out to Stacy Pfaff Photography for sharing these G O R G E O U S photos with us!
Where to even start with this cute couple? Marissa + Josh and their families were so nice to work with! This was our 2nd wedding in this backyard, as we helped with Josh’s brother Justin’s wedding a few months earlier. We absolutely loved working with this family and we miss them dearly after all the time spent with them creating two, magical backyard weddings!
The tent was set up the Thursday before the wedding in the large, open yard, and We’ve Got It Covered draped the tent with fabric and lights [so P R E T T Y!]. Rustic Elegance then came back on Saturday morning ready to set up the rest of the decor, and ensuring everything was set and ready for the day. Their decor included a memory display of those loved ones who had passed, placed on top of a special wood slice that was made by grandpa. The couple opted to include a bounce house in their wedding fun as their “kid’s activity”! It was such a hit with the kids, and all of the kid’s at heart [a.k.a. the adults enjoyed it too!]. The couple also rented Rustic Elegance’s bar and barrels with table tops for their cocktail hour set up. It was perfect weather wise – a sunny, beautiful day! The large wedding party consisted of 7 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen, plus the cutest little ring bearer and flower girl combo.
Surrounded by beautifully landscaped sections of the yard, complete with special wildflowers planted by the family, the couple said their “I do’s”
in front of an arbor built by the family. The ring bearers pulled the flower girl down the aisle in a wagon, almost stealing the show before the beautiful bride walked down the aisle with her dad. For their unity symbol, the couple tied three strands to make one braid.
During cocktail hour, guests again enjoyed the bouncy house, as well as yard games. Then, it was dinner time – a pig roast buffet! The Lookout in Maple Grove brought in the full pig and served it buffet style for the guests to enjoy. It was Y U M M Y! Then, for dessert, yummy C U P C A K E S! As the sunset, you could now see the monogram brought in by the DJ that lit up the couple’s initials on the tent [so unique + cool!] and the dance had begun! The couple did their first dance to “Today” by Brad Paisley. We lit the bonfire and set out s’mores for a little late night sweet snack. At the end of the night, the couple exited with a sparkler send including flair fireworks!
Josh + Marissa – we loved your extra S P E C I A L and memorable day, and miss our meetings with you both [+ the fam!]. We hope that married life is the D R E A M! Shout out to Whitney Sue Photography for the fantastic photos & High Shine Media for the great video!
Steve & Kayla are two of the S W E E T E S T people ever! Lead planner Kellie loved her pre-wedding meetings with this cute bride to talk about planning their big day. The couple met at a church in Rochester, and he popped the question with a video of adorable messages and notes from their closest family & friends playing as a trailer before a movie they were seeing in the theater! So adorable!
These sweethearts tied the knot at Rolling Ridge Event Center. We L O V E this space and working with the Rolling Ridge staff. They were married on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, in front of 80 of their closest family & friends. The barn interior was decorated with We’ve Got It Covered’s draping, paired with St. Cloud Floral’s flower hoops above the head table. The guest tables were decorated with RE table numbers, and votive candles spread throughout. The head table was set for the couple and their children – a fun way to include them in their big day.
The ceremony took place by the old barn foundation/rock wall, where St. Cloud Floral decorated the ceremony arch beautifully. After the short & sweet ceremony, guests headed to the barn for cocktail hour and dinner. Short Stop Custom Catering always does a fantastic job, and we love working with them. They have an amazing coffee bar that always has E V E R Y T H I N G & and impeccable service!! For dessert, the couple opted for Nothing Bundt Cakes [always a fan favorite], placed delicately on RE’s dessert stands.
Kayla + Steve – we hope married life is nothing but the best as we near your one year anniversary next month. Thank you to Sherry Ramer for the great photos of the couple and this very S P E C I A L day!
Anita + Paul were such a fun couple to work with. Lead planner Kellie actually played hockey with Anita, so this wedding definitely tugged on the heart strings. The couple actually met at a hockey game – a mutual friend had initiated a meet up and thought that it would be F U N for Paul to watch Anita play! Helping plan their wedding was so fun, and the day came up very quick.
Kellie and assistant Kristin helped with this wedding at the beautiful Redeemed Farm [one of our F A V S!] Julie + Jeff from Redeemed are so great to work with, and we love coming back to this venue time and time again! Rustic Elegance prepped the decor at the ceremony site, including a handmade cross by the couple, and the couple’s unity symbol. Guests were invited to come an hour early to enjoy drinks, yard games, and mingling on the barn grounds instead of your traditional cocktail hour.
The ceremony was beautiful – the groom’s children Patrick + Britta played the prelude violin music as guests arrived. The couple stood together at the altar and said their vows in front of their 140 guests. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a buffet dinner by Custom Catering which was O H so yummy! The barn was set up with simple decor, including the Rustic Elegance Milk Can as a card box, and a large spread of desserts including cupcakes, cookies, and long johns!
The couple danced their first dance to I Will Be Here by Steven Curtis, and it was oh so S W E E T! We loved being a part of Anita + Paul’s wedding day and wish them all the best in their new adventure together! Thank you two for including us in such a special day [hopefully Kellie will get to see you again on the ice again soon Anita]! Also thank you to TMOR Photography for these S T U N N I N G pictures from the big day!
Ahnah + Ryan were such a S W E E T couple. Lead planner Kellie loved her meetings with Ahnah talking about her wedding day dreams at Creekside [which is one of our F A V venues!].
The day finally came and the fall colors were G O R G E O U S! Kellie and assistant Kelly set up the ceremony site and inside the barn while the wedding party prepped for the day ahead. The ladies sported some flannels during their makeup & hair time with Lisa Reinhardt. After Ahnah’s hair and makeup was all set, the couple did a first look and their reactions were priceless! The bride sported some F U N cowboy boots, and the groomsmen’s boots consisted of shotgun shells. Alma Film & Photography snagged some more cute photos of the wedding party and couple before Rustic Elegance led the “Day of Rehearsal” before guests started to arrive.
The ceremony was set up “creekside” at Creekside – how F I T T I N G! We loved the addition of the Rustic Eleganceceremony doors and wine barrels at the entrance, surrounded by the beautiful yellow leaves. The bride’s uncle built their cross backdrop which was A M A Z I N G! Although the day was a little brisk, the guests toughed out the weather to give the couple what they had dreamed of – the most perfect outdoor ceremony. Their wedding party consisted of 8 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen and of course, their cute pups Zeke and Pooka as the ring bearers! The couple said their promises to each other, and just like that, they were married!
Guests then headed into the barn for the reception. The tables were decorated with wood slices, antlers, burlap runners and lots of greens. The wedding party did a grand entrance back into dinner to ACDC’s Back in Black, with the couple coming in from the large, farm doors at Creekside – such a fun touch! Everyone then enjoyed a buffet, pig roast dinner by This Little Piggy, and then it was time for desserts!! The dessert display was set up with a variety of donuts, cupcakes, and a small cake for the bride + groom. The cake was to be used later for a game of “cake in the face” between the bride and groom! After dinner, the couple played a touching video about their journey together, and there was not a dry eye in the room.
It was then time to dance it out! The newly married couple started things off with, dancing to Grow Old by Florida Georgia Line, followed by the father/daughter dance to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw, and lastly, the mother/son dance to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. Guests then joined in and danced into the night! There was also a super cool photobooth van available throughout the night for guests to snap a quick photo. Pizza was provided as a late night snack, which was appreciated by everyone. As a takeaway, the couple had put together trail mix in a mason jar for their guests to take home. To top off the night, the couple exited through a tunnel of sparklers into their first night as husband and wife!!
Ahnah + Ryan – we absolutely loved being your day of coordinator for your wedding day and wish you all the best in your new life together. Special shout out to Alma Films & Photography for sharing these G O R G E O U S photos with us!!
Chelsea + Brandon had the most beautiful Sunday morning brunch wedding, hosted at the Hewing Hotel! Kellie loved meeting with Chelsea leading up to the big day – she had such a vision and we absolutely loved helping that turn into a reality!
The ceremony/reception were hosted in the same room. Lead planner Kellie + assistant Kierra were there to help set up decor and make sure the day ran smooth. The ceremony set up was simple and elegant, featuring gold chiavari chairs from Apres, and arch/draping done by Apres as well. The draping also featured G O R G E O U S greenery from Thistle and Bloom. Large lanterns lined the ceremony aisles. The entrance of the ceremony had Rustic Elegance crates, and our easel with the couple’s beautiful welcome sign. The wedding party was small, having just a Maid of Honor and Best Man, and their cute little flower girls and ring bearers [even one in a W A G O N]. The ceremony was sweet, and featured a very U N I Q U E unity symbol – combining glass pieces during the ceremony and which will melted together post wedding.
After the ceremony, the room was flipped by the Hewing staff, Rustic Elegance duo, and Kelly from Thistle and Bloom! The table decor consisted of greens, lanterns, and votives. The dessert display was one for the books – A M A Z I N G! They had a large display of different donuts, with a large donut for “cake-cutting” by the bride and groom, all from Angel Food Bakery. Breakfast was provided by the Hewing and consisted of a delicious buffet, including many gourmet breakfast food options. The couple was seated at a sweetheart table with a blush, sequin linen from Apres, and lots of gorgeous florals. After breakfast was served, guests enjoyed a photobooth that produced tons of fun photo memories.
